Destination input in detail

6 Turn to select the address.

7 Press to transfer this information to

the destination guidance system.

Select "Functions" to obtain further

information on the hotel you have

selected or to return to the index.

If you have a BMW car telephone

or a BMW mobile phone installed

in your car, you can mark the telephone

number of your destination and dial the

number in a single key push.c

With the "Info on current location" func-

tion, you can create a list of up to ten

destinations of various kinds, arranged

in order of distance from your current

position.

Each entry is accompanied by the dis-

tance calculated by the navigation sys-

tem and an arrow indicating the direc-

tion as the crow flies.

If you know the town but not the

exact position of the street

The system offers you maps on which

you can identify your destination with

cross-hairs, then transfer this informa-

tion to the guidance system.

1 Enter the place-name.

2 Select "Information".

3 Select "Destination input map".

4 If necessary, change the scale:

d Turn and mark "Scale". If the fol-

lowing inputs are not made within

four seconds, this process will

have to be repeated.

d Press to confirm this.

d Turn until the desired scale is

appears.

d Press to input this value.

If the scale is greater that 1 km, the

"Save destination" function cannot

be selected.
