Code: prevents unauthorized persons from starting the engine

Deactivating the code

When you are required to enter the

code (in ignition key position 1):

1 Enter the code.

2 Select "deactivate".

To correct the input:

d Select "change" and repeat the code

input.

After three incorrect code inputs

or three attempts to start the

engine without a code input, an alarm

sounds for 30 seconds.

Emergency deactivation

Emergency deactivation can also be

carried out before the three attempts to

start the engine or three incorrect code

inputs have been made and the alarm

sounded.

1 Disconnect the battery and wait

about 5 minutes before reconnecting

it; see the car's Operating Instruc-

tions.

2 Turn the ignition key to position 1:

A ten-minute countdown appears on

the screen.

After the ten minutes have elapsed,

start the engine.
