Vehicle position

You can call up the present location of

your car, or display a road map showing

your position.

To call up the car's current location:

1 Select "Information".

2 Turn until "Vehicle position" is high-

lighted.

3 Press to select the display.

For the road map, select:

1 "Information"

2 "Vehicle position"

3 "Street Map".

This function can also be useful if you

have not input a destination. It enables

you to monitor the route you have taken

so far.

If the scale is < 1 km, you can choose

whether to align the map with north at

the top, or according to the direction of

your chosen route (see page 41).

Entering car's position

Correcting the car's current location is

only recommended in exceptional

circumstances.

E.g. after a trip on Motorail, the GPS re-

ceiver needs a few minutes to find your

new location. This search period can be

cut short by entering the car's current

location.

To enter the car's current position,

select:

1 "Information"

2 "Vehicle position".

Enter the address for your current posi-

tion in the same way as for entering a

destination.
