The on-board monitor at a glance

Displays and controls

1 Tape slot

2 Telltales for the car phone

Yellow:

The telephone is logging onto

another network

Green:

A connection has been established

Red:

Comes on if telephone operation is

not possible;

flashes if the telephone is not regis-

tered in a network.

It is always possible to make emer-

gency calls, irrespective of these

displays.

There are separate operating instruc-

tions for your telephone.

3 Telltale for auxiliary fuel-burning

heater or independent ventilation

control

On: auxiliary fuel-burning heater or

independent ventilation control is

programmed

Flashing: auxiliary fuel-burning heater

or

independent ventilation control is

running.

4 Monitor for displaying all systems

available on the on-board monitor

5 All on-board monitor systems are

operated using this knob.

Turn: this selects a system or a

displayed function or setting.

Press: this confirms the selection and

starts the system or function, or con-

firms an input.

6 Audio volume is adjusted at this

knob.

Press: switches the radio on and off
