Displaying route Selecting a new route
Changing display direction
If the scale is < 1 km, you can choose
whether to align the map with north at
the top, or according to the direction of
your chosen route.
1 Turn until "Map positioning" is
highlighted.
2 Press to confirm this.
3 Select the desired direction.
Interrupting speech output
It is possible to interrupt speech output
while the route map is being displayed:
1 Turn and select "Instruction".
2 Press and hold in for about one
second.
The last route instruction is repeated
if the button is pressed only briefly.
When "Instruction" is selected a further
time, the speech output is switched on
again.
Displaying the route list
You can call up a list of places and
streets during destination guidance.
This list is based on the route proposed
by the navigation system.
The length of the individual streets or
roads is also indicated.
To display the route list during destina-
tion guidance:
1 Turn until "Information" is highlighted.
2 Press to confirm your choice.
3 Turn until "Route list" is highlighted.
4 Press to call up the list.
5 Turn to browse through the list.
You can quit the navigation system
during destination guidance and devi-
ate from planned sections of the route.
You can state the distance you wish to
travel before returning to the original
route.
1 Turn and mark "New route".
2 Press to confirm this.
3 Select the desired distance.
The system will return you automatically
to the new route at the next opportu-
nity.
To help you avoid traffic jams and
other road congestion, your navi-
gation system displays traffic informa-
tion from your car's radio. See Traffic
information on page 42.c
