Destination input in detail

Note the following special features:

d If you do not enter a street name, you

will be guided to the boundary of the

town or village.

d Depending on the data stored on

your map CD, you may also be able

to enter a house number for certain

streets, see page 16.

d You can skip input of the country or

place if you wish to retain previous in-

puts.

d You can correct the last input with

"Delete". To cancel the whole entry,

keep pressed for longer.

If you do not know the place-

name or street name exactly

In this case, consult the "Index" before

entering the place and street. The index

will display all the places on the map of

a particular country, and all the streets

in a specified place.

You can restrict the number of names

displayed in the directory by first enter-

ing one or more letters of that name be-

fore selecting the "Index" function.

When you have found the entry you

want in the index, select it – it will then

be transferred to the destination guid-

ance system.
