Independent ventilation system

For information on the independent

ventilation system as well as for infor-

mation on operating it safely, please re-

fer to the notes in the vehicle Owner's

Manual. In the following section, you

will receive only information concerning

its operation via the onboard computer.

Direct activation

1 For the independent ventilation

system, leave the ignition key in

position 1 only.

2 Select "Aux. ventilation" from the

main menu.

The green square next to the se-

lected function lights up, and the red

fan symbol flashes in the computer

screen.

After 30 minutes, the independent ven-

tilation system switches off.

To switch the system off earlier:

Press until the red fan symbol in the

computer screen goes out.

Later activation

You can select from two activation

times for the independent ventilation

system.

1 Be sure that the clock is operating and

that the ignition key is in position 1

2 Select "Aux. ventilation"

3 Select "Timer 1" (or "Timer 2" for the

second time)

4 Select "set"

5 Enter the desired time:

The green square next to the se-

lected time and the red fan symbol in

the computer screen light up.

The independent ventilation system will

switch on within the next 24 hours only.

After that, the time must be confirmed

again.
