Standard/optional equipment.

 Leather sport steering wheel with multi-function buttons, thickened grip,

and additional chrome trim; the integrated buttons can be used to operate the

telephone, voice, and audio functions, as well as the Cruise Control. (Standard

on BMW 5 5 0 i models.)

 Heated steering wheel: just press a button to quickly warm up the

steering wheel.

 Active Cruise Control with Stop

& Go function and collision warning.

For enhanced comfort in stop-and-go

traffic. Combines speed control with

active distance control, slowing the car

down to a stop if needed, and starting

it up again in standard stop-and-go

situations (available only on BMW 5 5 0 i

models).

 Cruise Control with braking

function stores any desired speed

upwards of approximately 3 0 km/h

and maintains it. After accelerating, the

car automatically returns to the previous

stored speed, while braking cancels

the settings.

 Leather steering wheel with

multi-function buttons enables

comfortable control of many different

functions, without having to take one’s

hands off the wheel. The buttons on

the left cover the complete set of cruise

control functions; those on the right are

for audio functions such as the radio

and telephone.

 8 -speed sport automatic

transmission with Steptronic,

with Sport mode for a dynamic drive

and shift paddles on the steering wheel

(standard on BMW 5 5 0 i models).

 Dynamic Driving Control, for

various suspension settings. (Available

with 8 -speed sport automatic

transmission, Integral Active Steering

or Adaptive Drive.)

 6 -speed manual transmission

for a very sporty drive. Smooth, with

perfect ratios and precise, short-throw

gearshifts. The tight spacing of gear

ratios means that you can make even

more individual use of the engine’s

power (available only on BMW 5 3 5 i and

5 5 0 i rear-wheel drive models).

 8 -speed automatic transmission

with Steptronic, with electronic gear

selection and adaptive transmission

management for very fast, immaculate

gear changes.

 Start/Stop button for starting or

stopping the engine after entering

the car. The vehicle key is automatically

recognized, without having to be

inserted in the ignition.

 Instrument cluster with four

analogue instruments showing

speed, rpm, fuel level, and engine oil

temperature above a high-resolution,

wide-format Info Display.

 Black panel technology shows

the displays in the instrument cluster

as a black matte surface when the

ignition is switched off.
