Step5–Testing
Atthispointyouareessentiallydonewithallthehardpart,andyouarereadytobegintesting.
1. Connectallthewires:subleft,subright,inputleft,inputright,remote,positivepowerandnegativepower
totheamplifier.
2. Putthestockamplifierplugbackin.
3. Reconnectthepositivecabletothebatteryandturnthegainontheamplifi er allthewaydown.
IMPORTANT:
WhenyoureconnectthebatteryandstartthecarforthefirsttimetheECUwillgocrazyforabouta
minuteandtellyouthatalmosteverysysteminthecarhasmalfunctioned.Thisisanormaltestprocedur ethatthe
carrunsthroughwhenitispoweredbackon,startthecar,shutthecaroff,removethekey,andreinsertthekeyto
clearalltheerrors.
4. Startthecarandputonsomemusic,youwillinitiallynoticethatthereisnobassatall,thisisnormalasthe
gainsettinghasbeenturnedallthewaydown.
5. Slowlyincreasethegaincontroluntilyouhavereachedasuitablelevelforthesubwoofers.
6. Furtheradjustmentcanbefoundintheowner’smanualforyouramplifier.
7. Ifeverythingworkedandyouaregettingsoundyoucanmoveon,ifnot,beginretracingyourstepsand
checkingconnections.
Theinstallisdone,thesubsarebooming,it’stimetoputthepanelsbackinandshowoffyournewsystem.Boltdown
theseats,replacethetrunkpanels,tapeandtiewrapanylooseendsandyourdone!Congratulations
