s Brake Force Display improves safety by

helping other drivers deduce your braking

intentions. In emergency braking, the

illuminated area of the brake lights increases –

so drivers in vehicles behind can instantly

distinguish between gentle and full braking.

s Ornamental front kidney grille with specially

designed kidney grille bars in chrome. (On 320i

and 320d the kidney grille bars in black).

s Xenon headlights with high and low-beam

feature four light rings for daytime driving and

automatic headlight range control. They

provide the best possible illumination at night

and in poor visibility. In addition, the optional

Adaptive Headlights with integrated turning

lights adjust to the driving dynamics, ensuring

optimum illumination. In tight corners, at

speeds up to 65 km/h and when the indicator is

switched on, the turning lights are automatically

activated, whenever the automatic headlight

activation function is switched on.

o Trailer tow hitch including trailer stability

control, with electric unlocking via a button

in the luggage compartment. If the trailer

hitch is not needed, it can be folded away

manually.

o Rain sensor incl. automatic driving lights

control; once activated, it automatically

switches on the windscreen wipers, depending

on the intensity of the rain, and controls wiper

frequency. The integrated automatic driving

lights control switches on the low-beam

headlights as darkness falls or when entering

tunnels.

o High-Beam Assist supports the driver by

automatically switching between high and low

beam when trafﬁ c is approaching or enters the

lane ahead. When street illumination becomes

adequate, headlights are automatically

dimmed.

s Headlight washing system ensures

unimpaired illumination in all weather

conditions. If the windscreen wipers are

activated while the headlights are on, the

headlamp lenses are also automatically

cleaned.
