Central locking system

Emergency unlocking

If the compartments were

locked by the central locking

system and, for some reason,

the remote control unit is not to

hand, you can use the emer-

gency unlocking routine to

open them. Emergency unlock-

ing is independent of the cur-

rent status of the lock barrel.

You cannot use the emergency

unlocking routine to open the

radio compartment.

1 Insert the ignition key into

the lock you want to open.

2 Turn the key to the 45° posi-

tion.

3 You can now press in the

lock barrel with the key in

order to open the lock. Note

that the key cannot be

removed from the lock bar-

rel in this position.

4 You must turn the barrel to

the unlocked position or the

locked position in order to

remove the key. The lock

remains locked.
