Optional Accessories

To increase enjoyment and utility of BMW’s Rear Seat

Entertainment System, several accessories are avail-

able at a BMW Center:

• AV 3 Global Auxiliary Input Jack:

The BMW Rear Seat Entertainment System is

pre-adapted to permit auxiliary sources to be

connected using AV 3 mode for viewing on

each Monitor separately, or both Monitors

simultaneously. (Refer to page 11, Figure 2

concerning Audio/Video Source switching.) Any

audio/video source compatible with standard

NTSC composite video outputs found on

devices such as video game units, VCRs,

portable DVD Players, or video/still cameras

may be used. AV 3 AUX Input Jack requires a

3.5 mm phone jack be installed on the rear of

the center console by a BMW Center.

• Auxiliary Input Adapter Cable:

Permits connection of auxiliary devices such as

video game units, VCRs, portable DVD Players,

or video/still cameras equipped with RCA-type

output jacks to Monitor-mounted AV 2 AUX

Input Jacks (Refer to page 8, Figure 7), or

Optional AV 3 Global Auxiliary Input Jack.
