Anti-theft protection RDS (Radio Broadcast Data System)

The device has automatic anti-theft

protection. Manual input of a security

code or other entries are not required.

Receiving RDS stations

RDS (Radio Broadcast Data System) is

a transmission and reception system in

the VHF (FM) range.

If a station that broadcasts RDS infor-

mation is received, the station name

appears in the display following an

evaluation of the RDS signals.

You can receive additional information

such as the program type (PTY) via

RDS.

However, the reception of RDS data is

only possible under favorable recep-

tion conditions. If reception is weak or if

there is interference, it may be some

time before a station name and PTY are

once again available.
