Safety instructions

Operating temperatures

The CD player is designed

to operate in the temperat-

ure range from 0 °C to 60 °C.

In order to avoid malfunctions,

use the CD player only in the

specified temperature range.

High relative humidity can

cause condensation to form

on the focusing lens of the laser

beam, causing disc-read errors.

Repairs

The CD player is a Class 1

laser device.

Do not remove the housing cov-

er; have all repairs carried out by

trained, qualified specialists.

Handling CDs

Hold CDs by the outer rim

only.

Make every effort to keep

CDs free of fingerprints, dust,

scrapes and moisture.

Do not affix adhesive labels to

CDs.

Clean your CDs from time to

time, wiping them gently from

the centre toward the rim with

a CD cleaning cloth.

Switching on CD player

Switch on the audio system

Press the CD/* button to select

the operating mode for the CD

player.

If the CD drive is empty,

the CD player starts auto-

matically as soon as a CD is

inserted.

The first track on the CD or the

track played most recently is

played.

The display shows the name of

the track.

If there is no CD in the player,

the display shows

NO CD.

If the CD is not playable, the

display shows

CD ERROR.
